Albarino from Rias Baixas: An Intimate Journey of Discovery

I spent last week in Rias Baixas, Spain, on an immersion and education trip prior to beginning my duties as the Albarino Explorers Club Ambassador in the United States. It was an astounding experience in an utterly breathtaking part of the world, a week of spectacular wines, welcoming and passionate producers, a landscape of immense beauty, and some of the best fish and seafood in the world. Below are a few photos from the experience. There will be much more, both here and elsewhere, in the coming weeks and months, For now, however, take a look at these:

Along the Camino de Santiago de Compostela: We walked the final 10 - 12 km!

A statue on the astoundingly beautiful property at Marquez de Vizhoja

Percebes: The famous goose barnacle of Galicia.

The Cathedral of Santiago de Compostela

The views in Rias Baixas are breathtaking...

...As are the wines.

Seafood doesn't get any fresher than this.
