Aromas of dusty, coffee-ground-flecked, sage-kissed currants with a hint of smoke and menthol lead to a remarkably velvety palate with flavors of black currants, brambly berries, bakers chocolate, kirsch, and charred eucalyptus leaves. The sweetness of the fruit means it’s a pleasure to sip alone, and the structure makes it particularly well-suited to the table. I loved the balance of fruit, herb and oak. Very nicely crafted.
